Joe Neal Dean, 86, of Andrews passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018 in Andrews.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at 2:00 PM Monday, April 30, 2018 at the First Baptist church with Rev. Brandon Clark and Pastor Brant O’Connor officiating. Interment will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 4-6 pm at the funeral home. Joe was born on April 13, 1932 in DeKalb, Texas to Noble and Audrey Davis Dean. Joe married Clara Beth Barron on July 7, 1951 in Lamesa, Texas. They moved to Andrews in 1968. Joe was known as the “Milk Man” and the “Bread Man” for many years. Joe later went to work for Andrews County, and he retired on January 5, 1996. Joe loved to play golf and still talked about it often, even after he was unable to play. Joe and Clara hosted Thursday night singing at their home for many years. Joe was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Patsy Ruth Dean.
Joe is survived by his wife, Clara Dean of Andrews, son, Danny Dean of Saint Paul, Minnesota, daughters, Debra Clark and husband, Eddie, of San Angelo, Darla Klatt and husband, Ray, of Midland, brothers, James Dean of Merkel, David Dean of Globe, Arizona, sister, Betty Coker of Merkel, 7 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
