17 April 1835 - 24 April 1909
Records show that R E Currie enlisted into the CSA on 27 April 1861 as a member of the Leake Guards, Mississippi Volunteers. These volunteers became the Company E., 27th Regiment, Mississippi Infantry, when they joined the regular Confederate States Army.
