Antonio G. Garcia, 75, of Andrews passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017 in Andrews.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews with Pastor Phil Marroquin of Apostolic Worship Center, officiating. Interment will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jose Ramirez, Jose Sanchez, Abel Moreno, and Luis Montes. Antonio was born on August 28, 1941 in Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico to Antonio Escandon and Luz Maria Garcia. He was raised in Mexico and moved to Andrews in 1985 from Ojinaga. He worked as a pumper in Andrews for many years for Bob Dillard. He married Socorro Olivas in July 1993 in Andrews, but had been together for 45 years. He loved to travel all over Mexico, loved to read newspapers and books, shop on Amazon and buy things, especially shirts, spending time working in his yard and garden, and spending time with family and cooking out. He was Catholic and preceded in death by his parents.
Antonio is survived by his wife, Socorro Olivas Garcia of Andrews, 1 daughter, Ivonne Ramirez of Andrews; 1 sister, Luz Teresa Escandon of Mexico City; 3 grandchildren, Clara Ramirez of Andrews, Jose Ramirez of Andrews, and Lluvia Sanchez and husband, Jose, of Andrews, and 1 great granddaughter, Lelayni Sanchez of Andrews. www.mcnettfuneralhome.com
