Obituary

Final Rites Held For Wilson Killen Sunday

Funeral services for Wilson Killen, 37, were held from the Chapel of the Green's Funeral Home by Rev. Lee Lemons, pastor First Methodist Church, at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 19, 1950. Burial was made in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Killen died suddenly here Saturday morning from a heart attack. He had been prominent in business for a number of years and was a war veteran, having volunteered for service in the United States Navy Air Corps, where he served for a major portion of the conflict.
Mr. Killen was owner and operator of Killen's Food Market here where he had lived for the past 18 years. He was a graduate of Cameron High School and was a member of First Methodist Church.
Among his survivors are his widow and two young sons, Jimmy and David; his mother, Mrs. Mabel Killen of Cameron; two sisters, Mrs. Roger Taylor of Port Neches, Mrs. Boyd F. Ludewig of Tulsa, Oklahoma and one brother, James Killen of San Marcos.
Pallbearers were: Shirley Fox, Nat Wofford, George Peck of Temple, R. L. Terry, George MIller, Harold White, Thelbert Crittenden and Bill Wallace.
