Martha Harvey, 82, of Hallsburg, passed away Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, at a local hospital. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27, at Bellmead Funeral Home with Jason Harvey officiating.

Martha was born in Lubbock, Texas, to the late Frank T. and Vera C. Wigley. She worked as a bank teller and later as an accountant for Cramer, Ind. in San Diego, Calif. She was a member of the Eastern Star and past president of the Aurora Women's Club. The most important job was that of a dedicated Marine Corps wife, and raising of her three children with much love and affection. Her interest ranged from art to watching hummingbirds. Martha was a longtime resident of Hallsburg.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lt. Col. Leonard R. Harvey; her only son, Wesley "Butch" Harvey.

She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Harvey, of Hallsburg, Vera Harvey Eddleman, of Waco, and Debbie Harvey Fredrich and husband, Jay, of Hallsburg; grandchildren, Martha Blevins, of Hallsburg, Leonard Blevins and wife, Luz Marina, of Mart, Dawn Parnell and husband, Tom, of Hallsburg, James Livick, of Hallsburg, Shannon Harvey, of Waco, Melanie Maples Kemp and husband, Mark, of Bellmead, Jason Harvey and wife, Heather, of Robinson, Jon Harvey, of Dallas, Michael Spencer, of Arizona, and Westley Fouts, of Waco; and 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Benny Wigley and wife, Debbie, of Colorado; sister, Oleta Hudson, of Arizona.
