William F. “Billy Frank” Orson, 72, of Andrews passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2017 in Andrews.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at a graveside service at 3:00 PM Saturday, December 16, 2017 in the Andrews North Cemetery. Services are under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home in Andrews. Please celebrate his life by visiting www.mcnettfuneralhome.com.

Billy was born on March 4, 1945 in Baird, Texas to William Noel Orson and Bernell Maree Johnson Orson. He was raised and attended schools in Tarzan, Stanton, Grady, and Andrews. He married Bertha Marie Persilver on April 26, 1969 in Andrews, and they moved to Bayou Benoit, Louisiana in 1971. While there, he was a diesel mechanic and commercial fisherman. He moved back to Andrews in 1990, and he worked for his brother, Robert, at Orson Electric for several years. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Adam Noel Orson, brother, David Orson, brother, Robert C. Orson, who passed away the day before Billy, and grandson, Harley Orson.

Billy is survived by his wife, Bertha Orson; 8 children, Fonda Taylor, Holly Citrano, Lindsey Barrios, Megan Orson, William Orson, Jr., and Beau Orson, all of New Iberia, Louisiana, Robert Orson of St. Martinville, Louisiana, and Johnathan Orson of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana; 2 brothers, Trueman Orson of Columbia, Missouri and Brent Riordon of Hobbs, New Mexico; 1 sister, Tressa Bledsoe of Odessa; 24 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
