Jesus A. Rondan, 75, of Andrews passed away Thursday, November 9, 2017 in Andrews.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at a funeral mass 9:00 AM Monday, November 13, 2017 at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Joseph Ogbonna officiating. Interment will follow at the Andrews North Cemetery under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home in Andrews. A Rosary service will be held Sunday, November 12, 2017 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Jesus was born on March 1, 1942 in La Cieniga Grande, Mexico to Luis and Dolores Rondan. He met his wife Bertha and the two were wed on November 11, 1962 in Villa Union, Mexico. They moved to Andrews in 1969 and have resided there since. Jesus worked in the oil and gas industry for over 35 years as a derrick hand. He worked for several local companies including Gist, R & H, Basic, and Pool. In his spare time, he enjoyed working in his yard, gardening, and his pecan trees. He was always there to help Bertha cook for the family gatherings that they had or any time she needed him. Many people will remember him by his kindness and willingness to help anyone, they always had an open-door policy. He worked very hard to ensure that his family was always taken care of and instilled that into his children. His love of family, coffee, and chicharones will always be in the hearts of his loved ones and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 54 years, Bertha, and one brother, Luis.
He is survived by his 7 children; Juan Rondan and wife Trang of Andrews, Jesus Rondan and wife Maria of Andrews, Jorge Rondan and wife Jane of Yuma, Arizona, Ana Montoya and husband Ruben of Andrews, Sulema Contreras and husband Manuel of Andrews, Daniel Rondan and wife Misty of Andrews, and Ramiro Rondan of Amarillo, 3 brothers; Osbaldo Rondan and wife Maria of Andrews, Guadalupe Rondan and Juan Raul Rondan both of Mexico, 3 sisters; Victoria Rondan, Rosario Rondan, and Consuelo Martinez all of Mexico, 18 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. www.mcnettfuneralhome.com
