Dora L. Ruth, 60, of Andrews passed away on Friday, September 8, 2017 in Andrews.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at a graveside service at 10:00 AM Thursday, September 14, 2017 in the Andrews North Cemetery with Dr. Donnie Rollie, Home Hospice Chaplain of Andrews, officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Visitation will be on Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM at McNett Funeral Home. Dora was born on August 8, 1957 in Madera, California to Joseph P. Jimenez and Juanita Maestes Jimenez. She was raised and attended schools in Richmond, California. She married Virgil D. Ruth, Jr. on August 3, 1974 in Colorado City, Texas. They moved to Andrews in 1992 from Odessa. She had worked as a beauty operator in Odessa. She loved roses, puzzles, reading books, and the Dallas Cowboys. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on December 11, 1993, and brother, David Jimenez.
Dora is survived by her 4 children, Angela Thomas of Greenwood, Aimee Stephens of Colorado City, Alan Ruth of Andrews, and Asa Ruth of Robert Lee, 3 brothers, Leroy Jimenez and wife, Cindy, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Mark Jimenez and wife, Kim, of Richmond, California, and Robert Jimenez of San Pablo, California, 9 grandchildren, Michelle Brazil, Matthew Brazil, Damion Huff, Barrett Stephens, Sera Stephens, Hannah McKee, Alexis Ruth, Miah Ruth, and Bryson Ruth, 1 great grandchildren, Hunter Huff, special friend, Bill Smith of Andrews, and special friend like a daughter, Pam Bates and husband, Ronnie, of Abilene.
