Filomeno “Meño” Salcido, 81, of Andrews passed away on April 2, 2020 in Andrews.

Filomeno was born on July 5, 1938 to Melquaidez and Aurora Ramirez Salcido in El Pueblito, Mexico. He married Dominga Valenzuela in December of 1961 in El Mulato, Mexico. Filomeno worked for Kirby for 25 years and retired from there. He loved cooking out and listening to music. He was always taking goofy pictures and making goofy faces. He enjoyed drinking beer and shots of Tequila. Family gatherings were always special to him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dominga, his parents, brothers, Graciano Salcido, and Manuel Salcido sisters, Socorro Peralta and Guadalupe Salcido.

Filomeno is survived by his daughters, Elvira Salcido, Amalia Robles and husband Sergio, Cruzelia Salcido, Ana Maria Rodriguez and husband Pablo, Brenda Lee Ortiz and husband Enitchel Collins, and Frances Valenzuela all of Andrews, brothers, Ventura Salcido of Loving, New Mexico and George Salcido of Andrews, sister Delia Salcido of Loving, New Mexico, 20 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. source: mcnettfuneralhome.com

Dominga “Minga” Salcido, 72, of Andrews passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016 in Andrews.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 10:00 AM Monday, December 5, 2016 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 201 NE Avenue K, in Andrews with Rev. Joseph Ogbonna, officiating. Interment will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery. Rosary services will be recited at 7:00 PM on Sunday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Dominga was born on March 5, 1944 in El Mulato, Mexico to Abram Valenzuela and Zeferina Ortiz Valenzuela. She was raised in El Mulato and married Filomeno Salcido in December 1961 in El Mulato. They moved to Andrews in 1974, where she worked for Kirby West Vacuum Plant for 31 years. She loved to go shopping, and have all her family around to take care of them and cook for them. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Andrews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Hignacio Salcido, 2 sisters, and 3 brothers.

She is survived by her husband, Filomeno Salcido of Andrews, 6 daughters, Elvira Salcido, Amalia Robles and husband, Sergio, Ana Rodriguez and husband, Pablo, Cruz Salcido, Brenda Ortiz, and Frances Valenzuela, all of them from Andrews, 20 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. source: mcnettfuneralhome.com
