William "Bill" Earl Thompson, Sr., of Andrews, passed away Friday, January 6, 2012 at Home Hospice House in Odessa, Texas. Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, January 9, 2012 at First United Pentecostal Church in Andrews with Rev. James Linton officiating. Burial will follow in Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

Bill was born June 24, 1929 in Wink, Texas to Alvie and Jewel (Bass) Thompson. He married Barbara J. Singer December 5, 1948 in Hobbs, New Mexico; she preceded him in death on November 21, 2003. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Pingo Well Service as a pusher. He married Sister "Ivy" Thompson (Teague) July 7, 2004.
He loved to hear his wife sing. He enjoyed working in his yard and loved reading his bible and going to church.

He was preceded by his first wife, Barbara Thompson in 2003, daughter, Katherine J. Shaw in 1981. He is survived by his wife, Sister Revice "Ivy" Thompson of Andrews; son, Chuckie Thompson, Jr.; 4 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
