Mary Ann Marquez, 62, was born in EspaƱola, New Mexico to Antonio Serrano and Anita Villalpando on October 13, 1956. Mary Ann passed away May 23, 2019 in Lubbock, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Felix Marquez of 25 years; and brothers: Jerry Serrano and Modesto Villalpando.

Mom was a very friendly person and very hardworking. She was a people greeter at Wal-Mart for many years. She always greeted people with a smile and always put smiles on people's faces. She had a heart of gold and always helped others in need. Mom made everyone laugh and she loved her family very much. She loved going to Bingo and eating every morning with her friends, especially her "Prima" Gloria Gutierrez as she liked to call her.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jessica De Los Santos; son, Israel Marquez, Sr.; brother, Jose Leon Serrano; sisters: Rosa Gonzalez, Raquel (Javier) Torres and Lucile Serrano; and 6 grandchildren: Anabel Iniguez, Israel Sr. III, Yesenia Iniguez Marquez, Brenda Iniguez, Yanette Marquez and Sofia Iniguez.

Pallbearers to serve will be Israel Marquez, Jesus Iniguez, Michael Gonzalez, Leroy Gonzalez, Emmanuel De Los Santos, Emmanuel Martinez, Abel Bustillos and Eric Bustillos. Thank you to everyone who and everybody who spent time with her.

Go fly with my dad and with your parent's mom. Love you, take care of Israel and me. Be our light. Love you, daughter Jessica Marquez and Israel Marquez

Open Visitation will be from 9:00AM - 8:00PM, Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00AM, Wednesday 29, 2019 at Stevens Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Denver City Memorial Cemetery. For online condolences please visit www.stevensfuneral.com
