Funeral mass for Israel Moreno, Jr., 34, will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at 10 a.m. in the St. William's Catholic Church of Denver City with Father Heriberto Mercado saying mass. Services will be under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City. Interment will follow in the Denver City Memorial Park. There will be a Rosary on July 2nd, 3rd, and 4th at 7 p.m. at the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel. He passed away June 30, 2016, near Denver City.

Israel was born Jan. 11, 1982, in Brownfield, Texas, to Ysrael and Lucy Moreno. He married Krystal Gonzalez on Nov. 22, 2002, in Plains, Texas. Their obvious love and devotion to one another was something dreams are made of. Israel was a truck driver for Basic Energy Services. In his free time, Israel served as a board member of the Denver City Youth Football League. He also coached football, basketball, baseball and soccer for his kids.

Besides being an awesome husband, dad, and beloved family man, Israel was a big fan of Texas Tech and the Miami Dolphins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ysrael Moreno, Sr., in Jan. of 2015.

Israel is survived by his wife, Krystal Moreno of Denver City, Texas; a son, Noah Ysrael Abel Moreno; a daughter, Madison Rayne Moreno; his mother, Lucy Moreno; a brother, Christopher Moreno of Plains, Texas; three sisters, Maria Moreno, Cecilia M. Menjivar, Esmeralda Moreno, all of Plains, Texas; his grandmother, Jesusa Torrez of Lubbock, Texas; his father and mother-in-law, Abel and Yolanda Gonzalez of Denver City, Texas; two brothers-in-law, Chris and Isaac Gonzalez; two sisters-in-law, Ashley Lopez and Kimberly Gonzalez; Uncle, George Vasquez; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. legacy.com
