Florence Louise Sadler Eady, 83, of Denver City, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, in Lubbock.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, Dec. 11, 2009 at 2 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church, with the Reverend Daniel Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in the Denver City Memorial Park with services under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City.

Florence was born on Sept. 12, 1926 in Whitharral, Texas, to Samuel and Elsie Sadler. She married Bill Eady in Littlefield on Sept. 12, 1953. Florence was a homemaker. She and her husband had farmed in Gaines County since 1960. They were named Farm Family of the Year in 1979. Florence had served on the Denver City Museum Board and was one of the founders of the Higginbottom Jamboree. She was preceded in death by her husband on Nov. 19, 1983.

She is survived by three sons, Kent Eady, Brent Eady and wife Darlene and Scott Eady, all of Denver City; two daughters, Sheryl Wright and husband David of Seminole and Suzanne Johnson and husband Jerry of San Angelo; a sister, Rachel Price of Wolfforth; 11 grandchildren, Lacy, Lance, Danielle, Melody, Kayla, Kera, Kristin, Shaunda, Kyndal, Julianne and Jaclyn; and five great-grandchildren.
