Funeral services for Lee Otis Wyatt Jr. of Denver City will be held on Monday, December 19, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the Church of Christ with Skip Rodgers officiating. Interment will follow at the Denver City Memorial Park under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City.

Mr. Wyatt was born February 28, 1934 in Fort Worth, Texas to Irene and Lee Otis Wyatt Sr. He passed away Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Shinnery Oaks Community. "Sonny" graduated from Denver City High School in May of 1952 and then attended Texas A&M University, Texas Tech University, and graduated from SMU School of Banking. In 1949, Sonny earned the Boy Scout Eagle Award and was the second Eagle Scout in Denver City. From 1956-1958 Mr. Wyatt served the US Army in counterintelligence in San Francisco, CA, and Verona Italy. In July of 1961, he married Mary Jane Campbell of Rule, Texas. Two sons, Mark Wesley and Matthew Campbell, were born to this union. They resided in Roswell, NM, Pasadena, Texas, Garland, Texas and retired in Granbury, Texas.

Mr. Wyatt was banker, realtor, and resource teacher for elementary children and loved that job best of all.

Sonny is survived by his two sons, Mark and his wife Sheila of Frisco, Texas; Matt of Kabul, Afganistan; their mother Mary Jane Wyatt of Granbury, Texas; two sisters: Judy Tinley and Sue Ann and her husband Dennis Harrison, all of Denver City; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Wyatt is preceded in death by his parents, Lee Otis Wyatt Sr. and Irene Willson, and stepfather Van Willson. Sonny loved nature, being outdoors, fishing, skiing, bird watching, and humoring those around them. Pallbearers will be Dennis Harrison Jr., Dennis Harrison III, Chris Tenley, Tate Tinley, Tanor Tinley, Kelby Clinton, Baxter Nelson, Dexter Nelson.Visitation with family will be Sunday December 18, 2011 from 3 to 5 P.M.
