COLORADO CITY - Mrs. Connie Simpson, 65, died Saturday May 17, 2003 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Smith officiating.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Denver City Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Mrs. Simpson was born to Sammie and Euple Nowell Taylor in Dimmitt on June 17, 1937. She married McKinley Simpson in Denver City on Jan. 27, 1971. She was a Mitchell County resident for 21 years and a member of First Baptist Church. She worked in the medical profession for 45 years. She enjoyed floral arranging, ceramics, and fishing. She was an excellent friend.

She is survived by her mother, Euple Taylor of Denver City; four children, Steve McBride of Colorado City, Judy Mac of Austin, Sammy Joe McBride of Austin, and David Butler of Houston; four grandchildren, Stephanie Deavours of New Mexico, Ricky McBride of Austin, Crystal McBride of Austin, and Holly Deavours of New Mexico; and two great-grandchildren, Kaylah Deavours of New Mexico and Alexeander Luke McBride of Waco. She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, McKinley Simpson; her father, Sammie Taylor; and a daughter, Pamela Jean McBride. Source: Kiker-Seale Funeral home. www.dignitymemorial.com
