"Mildred Bruggman, 93, of Cyclone, died Monday, July 28, 2014, in a Temple hospital. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Cyclone. Rev. George Thirumangalam, CMI, officiated. Burial followed in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Mrs. Bruggman was born July 13, 1921, in Westphalia to Hugo and Mary Reinders Halfmann. She married Wilbert “Tookie” Bruggman on October 3, 1939. He preceded her in death on May 16, 1981. She then married E.J. Geistman on December 26, 1992, and he preceded her in death on May 26, 1997.
She retired in June of 2003 after working 25 years in the alteration department of JC Penney in Temple. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She was also preceded in death by a grandchild, Teresa Bartek, and by a great grandchild, Gabriel Patterson. She is survived by three sons; three daughters; one sister; sixteen grandchildren, one step grandson, seventeen great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.
Rosary was recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud."
