Anthony Joseph Meyer, Jr., age 18, of Hooks, Texas died Friday, October 24, 2008 in a Texarkana, Texas hospital. Anthony was born on July 17, 1990 in Cold Springs, New York. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hooks and he graduated from Hooks High School in 2008 where he played football, basketball and ran track. He was a past member of the Hooks High School Varsity Football Team and in the school choir He also enjoyed attending youth camp each year and just "hanging" with his friends who knew him as "PawPaw". He was studying for a career in Physical Education at Texarkana College.
Anthony is survived by his parents, John and Nicole Taylor of Hooks, Texas, his father, Anthony Meyer, Sr. of Sydney, New York. Four brothers, Freddy, Jonathon, Kevin and Joseph, three sisters, Victoria, Rebecca and Jessica. One Special Uncle, Joseph, who was like a brother to Anthony. Also, Grandparents, Joseph and Deborah DeRobertis, Lola Taylor, Butch Meyer, Terry and Cindy Travis. As well as, numerous aunts, uncles, many cousins, other relatives and friends.
Services will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of Hooks in Hooks, Texas with Bro. Roy Ford and Bro. Al Pierce officiating.
Interment will be at the Hooks Cemetery immediately following the service.
