Services for Raymond Edgar Singleterry, 88, of Denver City will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2005, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Phillip Golden officiating. Interment will be at the Denver City Memorial Park under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home in Denver City.
He died Sunday, July 17, at the Children of the Pioneers Nursing Home.

Mr. Singleterry was born Jan. 12, 1917 in St. Louis, Okla. On June 10, 1937, he married Leda Mae Solley in Marlow, Okla. In 1959, the couple moved to Denver City. He retired from the Denver City ISD. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Denver City Senior Citizens. His wife preceded him in death May 15, 1998.

Survivors include three sons, Paul Singleterry of Mulvane, Kan., David Singleterry of Hobbs, N.M., and Melvin Singleterry of Orlando, Fla.; two daughters, Ann Hodge and Donna Sefcik, both of Denver City; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
His grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Source: Ratliff Funeral Home.

DENVER CITY (Special) - Services for Leda Mae Singletarry, 82, of Denver City will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Webb officiating and the Rev. Harold Brown assisting.

Burial will be in Denver City Memorial Park under direction of Ratliff Funeral Homes, Seminole. She died Friday, May 15, 1998, at her home.

She was born Jan. 2, 1916, in Comanche and married Raymond Singletarry on June 10, 1937, in Marlow, Okla. She moved to Denver City with her husband in 1959. She worked as a registered nurse for 19 years at Yoakum County Hospital. She was a member of Denver City's First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Paul of Mulvane, Kan., David of Hobbs, N.M., and Melvin of Duncan, Okla.; two daughters, Ann Hodge and Donna Sefick, both of Denver City; three brothers, Melvin Dolley of Peoria, Ill., Odis Dolley of Seagraves and Bob Dolley of Dublin, Texas; two sisters, Le Verne Beene of Porterville, Calif., and Ann Beardon of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a stepmother, Ruth Solley of Dublin; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
