Graveside services for Jones "J.C." Hobbs, 96, will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 4:00 PM at Denver City Memorial Park with services under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City. He passed away January 26, 2016 in Denver City.
J.C. was born May 5, 1919 in Floydada, TX to Lomas and Ola Hobbs. He was a boilermaker by trade. He lived in Tuscon, Arizona for 50 years and was the original American Picker.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Orville, Tom and Murl, 1 sister, Shirley and a son Mike. J.C. is survived by 1 brother, Harold Hobbs of Phoenix; 1 sister, Patty Croft of Utah; 2 granddaugh- ters, Mary Ann Hobbs of Waco Jones Hobbs, and Jessica Hobbs of Mineral Wells; his caretaker, friend and companion, Marvin Hobbs and all Hobbs and Freeman families. He will be greatly missed by family and many friends. Source: Ratliff Funeral Home.
