DENVER CITY - Memorial services for Sherman Lloyd Callaway, 88, will be held Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at 1:00 PM in the Church of Christ in Denver City with services under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City. He passed away May 28, 2016 in Denver City.
Sherman was born April 23, 1928 in Bay City, TX to Tilman and Pearl Callaway. He married Maurine Newman on November 14, 1952 in Swinny Switch, TX. He served in the US Navy. Before retiring, Sherman worked as a pumper for Arco Oil and Gas for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maurine, on January 12, 2013, a son Anthony Lloyd Callaway, a brother, and a sister.
Sherman is survived by a daughter, Terri Smith and her husband Kenney of Denver City; a grandson, Anthony Mc Kinney and his wife Jennifer of Odessa; 2 great grandchildren, Julie Renea Patterson, Stetson Taylor Patterson; and 2 brothers, Al Dean Callaway of San Antonio, Tilman Callaway of California, 1 grandchild and 2 great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Maurine Callaway, 78, of Denver City, Texas, died on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, in Denver City, Texas. She was born Aug. 27, 1934, in Beeville, Texas.
A memorial service has taken place on Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the Denver City Church of Christ, in Texas.
Arrangements were with Ratliff Funeral Home, in Denver City, Texas 806-592-2321.
