DENVER CITY - W.M. Goldston, Jr., 88, of Denver City passed away Thursday, June 17, 2010 in Denver City.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, June 21st, at 10:00 a.m. in the Denver City Church of Christ with Brother Skip Rodgers officiating. Interment will follow in the Denver City Memorial Park, with services under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City.

Junior was born April 8, 1922 in Terry County to William Melvin and Alva Rena Goldston. He married Nadine Monzell Earp in Lovington on June 14, 1952. He attended schools in Tokoyo and Brownfield before entering the military. Junior served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a farmer, but he also worked in the oilfield. And before his retirement, he worked for the DCISD as a custodian. Junior was a member of the Denver City Church of Christ. In the 1950s, he was in the Denver City Volunteer Fire Department. Junior was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine, on July 29, 2001, six sisters and five brothers.

He is survived by a sister, Violet O'Keeffe of Denver City; two brothers, Oliver Goldston and wife Wilma of Lake Brownwood and Louis Goldston of Big Spring; special family, Joby Kegley, Cindy Kegley and Trey Kegley; and lots of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Cole Elder, Matt Goldston, Josh Elder, Trey Kegley, Mike Elder and Troy Ratliff.

There will be a family visitation on Sunday, June 20th, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ratliff Funeral Home. Source: Ratliff Funeral Home.

DENVER CITY — Services for Nadine Monzell Goldston, 71, of Denver City will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Denver City Church of Christ with Skip Rodgers officiating.
Burial will be in Denver City Memorial Park under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City. She died Sunday, July 29, 2001.

She was born Oct. 21, 1929, in Winniewood, Okla., and married Jr. Goldston on June 14, 1952, in Lovington, N.M. She worked for the Denver City Independent School District in the cafeteria for 22 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ, where she taught a Sunday school class.

Survivors include her husband; her mother, Charlene Parker of Denver City; three brothers, Ray Dennis of Carlsbad, Carrell Dennis of Kent, Wash., and Jerry Earp of Albuquerque, N.M.; a sister, Wanza Lou Kendrick of San Antonio; and two grandchildren. Source: Ratliff Funeral Home.
