Obituary
THOMAS L. PEEL IS BURIED IN CAMERON
Funeral services for Thomas L. Peel were held Thursday afternoon February 3, at the First Methodist church with Rev. J. Coy Williams delivering the sermon.
Mr. Peel died in Dallas on Wednesday, February 2nd, in the Baylor hospital. He had been ill from pneumonia. He had been a resident of Dallas for 14 years, a business man there. He was born and reared in Port Sullivan, the ancestral home of the Peel family.
Surviving is his widow, who was before her marriage, Miss Viola Brady; two sons, Carl of Houston and Beverly of Corpus Christi.
His mother, Mrs. J. A. Peel, 84 years old, lives at Port Sullivan. Brothers and sisters survive as follows: Mrs. L. T. Self of Hearne; Stadler Peel of Maysfield; Archie, Frank and Howell Peel of Port Sullivan, and Bryan Peel of Houston.
The body of the deceased pioneer was brought here from Dallas in a Leland Green Funeral Home ambulance. From the home the body was taken to the Methodist church for the funeral service and burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.
