December 6, 1916 - March 19, 2013
Leona Emily Louise Gottschalk, 96, of Ratibor, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013 in a Temple Nursing Center. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Cyclone. Rev. Walter Matus officiating. Burial followed in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Mrs. Gottschalk was born December 5, 1916 in Zabcikville to Louis and Clara Pagel Dornhoefer. She lived in the Zabcikville and Ratibor communities all of her life. She graduated from Rosebud High School and married Rubin Gottschalk on October 31, 1939. She worked as a seamstress for Wood Mfg in Temple and also a childrens clothing manufacturer in Rosebud. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Altar Society.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Margie Nell Gottschalk. She is survived by her husband; one son; one daughter; four grandsons and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation began at 6:00 p.m. Thursday followed by Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud.
