Elda Bluhm Huse, 79, of West, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2006, in Waco. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, September 8, 2006, at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, September 9, 2006, at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Walter Albers officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park in Waco.

Elda was born in West, Texas, to the late Otto Herman and Hulda Antonia (Banik) Bluhm. She was raised in the Ross area and attended Ross schools. On Dec. 23, 1945, she was united in marriage to Adolph K. Huse in Waco.

Elda worked for Owens-Illinois Glass Plant in Waco for 34 years before retiring in 1982. Elda was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Gerald, and was a member of the Women's Guild. She enjoyed canning, gardening, doing yard work, and especially loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph, on December 2, 1995.

Survivors include her son, Ron Huse and wife, Brenda, of West; grandchildren, Elizabeth Huse, of Bedford, and Brent Huse and wife, Michelle, of West; brother, Emil Bluhm, of West; sisters, Annie King and Wilma Lehman, both of Waco; and many neices, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
