J.M. HUSE PASSES
John Marion Huse was born June 21, 1876 at Prescott, Ark., and came to Texas with his parents at the age of 7 years, settling in Kaufman county. November 17, 1897 he was married to Miss Rosa Williamson, to this union 9 children were born. The family moved to Chisholm from Kaufman County, at which place Mr. Huse was engaged in blacksmithing, and in July 1913 came to Rockwall where he engaged in blacksmithing until about 10 months ago when he had a stroke of paralysis. Mr. Huse departed this life at the family home in this city Tuesday, February 4 at 1 a.m. Funeral services were held in the Baptist Church Wednesday at 11 a.m. being conducted by Rev. Hamilton, Burial in the Rockwall Cemetery. The pallbearers were his nephews.
Mr. Huse is survived by his wife; five sons, George and Sam Huse, of Rockwall; Jim Huse, of Chillicothe; Hester Huse, of Rowlett; and Johnny Huse of Denison; and a daughter, Mrs. Joe Odell, of Rockwall; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grand children; a sister, Mrs. Lula Sandifer of Houston; three brothers, T.J. Huse, of Gainesville; Roy Huse, of Dallas and Henry Huse, of Rockwall.
