Funeral services for Charles Hal Jones Sr., 79, who died here Saturday, will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Pace Funeral Home in Temple. Rev. W.M. Greenwaldt, pastor of the Killeen First Methodist Church, will officiate. Services will be directed by the Masonic Lodge of Temple. Chanslor-Young Funeral Home of Killeen is in charge. Jones, born Oct. 20, 1876, in Woodsville, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Howard. He was a resident of Temple for about 40 years before moving to Killeen two years ago. He had been a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years and was a past patron of Vashti OES No. 32, and a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Howard of Killeen, and Mrs. A.F. Mullor of Laredo; two sons, Col. Charles H. Jones, Jr., Brooklyn, N.Y., and Maj. W.D.C. Jones of Fort Bragg, N.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Johnson of Cameron, and Mrs. Ethel Harris of Houston, and six grandchildren. The body will be taken to Temple Tuesday morning.
