SERVICES HELD FOR MARTIN MOWDY, 84

Funeral services for Martin Bates Mowdy, 84, were held Friday 2:30 p. m. at the Chapel of Green Funeral Home.
Rev. Dean Oien, pastor of the Battetown Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in Liberty Cemetery.
Mowdy was born in Milam County Sept. 3, 1887. He was the son of W. A. J. Mowdy and Maudie Cone Mowdy. He passed away Thursday at St. Edwards Hospital where he had been a patient for two weeks. He was a retired farmer, having lived in the Hoyte Community most of his life.
Surviving are four brothers, Jim, Bill, Clarence and Homer Mowdy all of Cameron and one sister Mrs. Annie Tyler of the Hoyte Community.
