Pearl Lee Klein, 89, of Sanger, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2008 in Denton, Texas. Pearl was born on December 24, 1918 in Heidenheimer, Texas to George Lee and Martha C. (McFarlin) Lanier. On April 14, 1935, she married Erwin Jacob Klein in Marietta, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Sanger.
Funeral services will be held today, September 3, 2008, 10 a.m., at Church of Christ, 100 North Fifth Street, Sanger, Texas, with John Payne officiating. Nephews serving as pallbearers will be Bill Lanier, Jim Sebastian, Doug Harper, Don Harper, Craig Waggoner, and Jimmy Waggoner. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jeremy Klein, Jason Klein, Justin Calvert and Greg Attwood. Interment will be at the Sanger Cemetery following the services.
Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Calvert of Sanger; two sons, Larry and Gerald Ronny Klein, both of Sanger; two sisters, Winnie Mae Sebastian of Sanger and Vera Fay Harper of Plano; one brother, Glinn Lanier; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one grandson, Kent Douglas Klein, and an infant sister Eva Belle Lanier.
