Thomas H. Hausler, 93, of Lipscomb, died Saturday, April 16, 2005 in Amarillo. Services were held at Lipscomb Union Church with Rev. Floyd Thiessen, officiating. Burial was in Lipscomb Cemetery under the direction of Hughes Funeral Home of Canadian.

Mr. Hausler was born on April 28, 1911 in Hermleigh, Texas to the late Mr. Thomas Hausler and Mrs. Maria Koelbe Hausler. He attended grammar school in Hermleigh. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving in World War II. Tom helped re-build the Panama Canal in the 40's and also built many dams and roads in the Texas Panhandle and Oklahoma. He married Loraine Hunter on December 25, 1933 in Canadian. She preceded him in death and by one son, Jim Hausler; one brother, John Antone Hausler; six sisters, Clarabel Clark, Martha Thompson, Bertha Hardy, Marie Hundenurscher, Anna May Harrell and Eva Wilkinson.

He is survived by one daughter, Noralene Steinle of Amarillo, and husband, Harold; one son, Tom L. Hausler of Dripping Springs, and wife, Emily; one daughter-in-law, Jean Hausler of Clarksville, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Gaylon Steinle of Fort Worth; Lynn Steinle of Clovis, New Mexico; Joni Fogle of Magnolia, Texas; Renee Patterson of Tomball, Shari Simpson of Spotsylvania, Virginia; J.D. Hausler of Mayflower, Arkansas; and Coby Hausler of Wichita Falls; 19 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren.
