In memory of our loving mother
Helen Klatt, 73, of Waco, died March 6, 2009, at Crestview Healthcare Residence in Waco after a long battle with cancer. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, at the Clifton Funeral Home in Clifton. Burial will be at the Clifton Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until the service time Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Helen Thiele was born in Valley Mills, Texas, to Richard and Louise Thiele. She grew up in Lorena and was a longtime resident of Corpus Christi, but had spent the last 11 years in Waco. She was a great cook and delighted in cooking for everyone. Her vivaciousness and love of life touched many hearts. She was one "tough" lady that will be greatly missed, said a family spokesman.
Survivors include son, Charles Klatt, of Corpus Christi; daughters, Sherri Gibson and husband, Marty and Darla Bell and husband, John, all of Azel; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Thiele Jr., of Waco; sisters, Pauline Poehls and Wilhelmine Purvis, both of Waco, and Mary Schantz, of Florida.
