Death of Ole B. Olson.

Early Sunday morning J. A. Olson received the sad news by telegram that his brother, Ole B. Olson, had been killed at Little Rock, Ark., Saturday night.
The Cresote works of which Mr. Olson had been foreman for many years located quite a distance from the city, and after attending to some shopping he, in the company with some of his hired men, were returning home when they were accosted on the sidewalk by a (man) who demanded who they were, upon being answered by Olson that it none of his business the (man) raised his gun and fired, the bullet passing through the body, entering one side penetrating one limb and passing out the other side.
The wounded man lived an hour during which time he was taken to the hospital and an operation was performed in hope of saving his life. He was conscious to the last and stated that there was absolutely no cause for the shooting, this was corroborated by eye witnesses. The opinion was expressed that the (man) was in waiting for some one else and that the bullet was not intended for Olson. During the excitement that followed, the assailant escaped and has not been captured.
The unfortunate incident was deployed by the friends at Little Rock as well as by relatives and many friends here as he was well liked by all who knew him.
The remains were brought to Clifton by J. A. Olson and J. M. Jenson.
Services were conducted by Rev. P. E. Thorson at the residence of J. A. Olson, Wednesday morning, 10 o'clock. Interment in Clifton Cemetery.
