Husband of Alcy Alfred Gartman Barbee
James A. Barbee, of Lubbock departed this life on Friday, July 6, 2007 at the age of 69. He was born on May 16, 1938 in Littlefield. He attended school in Anton and served in the US Army. James married Alcy Gartman on May 30, 1965 in Lubbock. She passed away on March 25, 2005.
He is survived by two daughters, Cindy Burton and Christy Quintanilla, both of Lubbock; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren; three sisters, Twilight Billings of Ft. Worth, Maxine Nelson of Lubbock, and Nina Poston of Plainview.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 9, 2007 at East Englewood Cemetery in Slaton.
