Nina Hendricks, 88 of Spearman passed away on November 25, 2016. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 26, 2016, from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Boxwell Brother Funeral Home. Services will be on Sunday, November 27, 2016, at the First Assembly of God Church at 2:30p.m. in Spearman with Rev. Kenton Johnson of Matador, Texas officiating. Burial will follow at Hansford Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.

Nina was born in Hansford County March 28, 1928 to Clyde and Lois (Mathis) Gaither. She married Donald Eugene Hendricks, Sept. 10, 1944 in Spearman. Their union produced three children Vicky, Rick, and Danny Ray. They opened their home and raised two others, LeVeta Gaither and Jim Owens.

Nina was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Spearman Volunteer Fire Department, H&S Ambulance, and volunteered at the Library Thrift Shop. She was a rural mail carrier for many years, first as a substitute for rural route 1 then as a contractor for rural route 3.

She was awarded Citizen of the Year and Firefighter of the year in 19 88.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Don, 2 brothers Bill and Joe Gaither, sister Clydeane Bolyn, and grandson Jon Bullard.

She is survived by daughter Vicky and her husband Ronnie Bullard, son Danny and wife Doris of Spearman, son Rick and wife CC of Kirkland, WA., daughter LeVeta Duval of Oregon City, OR., 2 brothers John of Abilene, TX and Gene of Kingfisher, Ok. She had twelve grandchildren, Scott Bullard, Ken Bullard, Melissa Smith, Don R Hendricks, Jennifer Martin, Charla Conroe, Michele Conroe, Ginger Oviatt, Tiffany Barnes, Katie Duval, Jessica Richens, and Lance Dickerson, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
