Delphine Kopke, 85, of Spearman, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at her home in Spearman. Visitation will be Friday August 10 from 6-8 P.M. at Boxwell Brothers Funeral home in Spearman. Services will at 10:00 A.M., Saturday August 11, 2018 at the Church of Christ in Spearman with Minister Trent Tanaro officiating. Burial will follow in Hansford Cemetery. Arrangements are with Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.
Delphine was born on January 19, 1933 to Christ and Emma Melzer in Lispcomb County
Texas. She married Harold Kopke on August 19, 1950 in Perryton, Texas. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Spearman.
Delphine was a grade school cafeteria worker for 32 years. Over the years she enjoyed watching all the children, including her own, growing up as she watched them come through the cafeteria each year. She loved spending time with her family, playing games, watching T.V. and running the pay desk at the Country Flea Market.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brother’s and 2 sister’s.
Delphine is survived by her two sons, Tex Kopke of Spearman and Mark Kopke and wife Kimberly Kopke of Amarillo, daughter Cindy Scarborough of Canyon and a sister, Carol Weiss and husband Carl of Amarillo. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
