Bobby was born on January 26, 1931 to Leslie Harvey Thomas and Pearl Josephine (Bates) Thomas, in Alice, Texas. He married Margaret Ann (Walters) Thomas on July 27, 1950. Shortly after being married, Bobby served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. After he was honorably discharged from the Army, Bobby reunited with his wife and they moved to Perryton, Texas.

In 1959 Bobby and Margaret moved to Darrouzett, where they raised their three children. Bobby worked in the Oilfield for over fifty years. When Bobby retired in 1995, he and Margaret moved to Nocona, Texas. While in Nocona he enjoyed fishing and picking up cans.

In 2008 Bobby moved back to Darrouzett, while living there you could find him out on the side of the road picking up cans or out gallivanting with his friend Haskel, working on a project with Sammy or just enjoying his family.

Bobby passed away on Monday October 3, in Darrouzett, his wife Margaret; parents; sister Ruth Bowling; brothers Harvey Thomas and Jackie Thomas precede him in death.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday October 8, 2016 at 10:00 AM, in the Darrouzett Cemetery under the direction of Good Samaritan Funeral Service Booker, Texas.

Survivors include: a sister Nellie Williams of Texas City, Texas; son Bobby Thomas Jr. of Nocona, Texas; daughters Kim White of Big Spring, Texas and Patricia Clayton of Perryton, Texas; six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
