AUGUST R. KNIPP, 62, VETERAN POSTAL CLERK DIES, SERVICES HELD

August R. Knipp, 62, long time postal clerk in the Cameron Post Office, died Thursday at 5:15 p. m. in a local hospital following a brief illness.
Funeral services were held Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church. Rev. Eugene Strickland officiating with burial in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Knipp was born February 15, 1902 in Terrell and had lived in Cameron for 23 years where he served as postal clerk. He was an elder in the First Presbyterian Church and a member of the Knights of Pythis.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Christine Knipp of Cameron; son, Bill Knipp of Temple, two daughters, Mrs. Anita Board of Cameron and Mrs. Ann Estes of Dallas. Also four grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: Alfred Dusek, Bill Peck, Henry Litzman, Albert Collins, Jerry Matula, and Alvin Mullinax.
Marek - Burns funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
