DEATH OF EVERETT D. PHILLIPS

The death of Everett D. Phillips occured in Dallas last Sunday afternoon and his remains were shipped to Cameron, and services were held from the residence of his aunt, Mrs. Jennie Smith, on Monday, interment taking place in the Oakhill Cemetery, conducted by Rev. B. B. Blaylock. Mrs. John M. Tucker of this city was also an aunt of the deceased.
Mr. Phillips was a victim of influenza and was sick only four days. He was 35 years of age, was a former resident of Cameron, was widely known in Milam County and his friends were numbered by the thousands. He was a prominent member of the Bella Shrine of Dallas.
Attending the funeral from out of town were Mrs. Claypool and son, Frank; R. Phillips, Marlin; J. W. Ellis and wife and son, Cleve, Houston; J. M. Tucker Tr., Houston, and Mrs. Wm. Davis of Waco.
