Reverend Billy Carle Morris, 61, of Corning, AR., passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. Mr. Morris was born in Texarkana, AR., on August 29, 1951.
He was a self-employed electrician and former Pastor at Hickoria Missionary Baptist Church in Hickoria, AR. He loved his grandson and his dog Peanut. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force.
He married his wife Mrs. Jackie Ann (May) Morris on June 30, 1973. She survives. Other survivors are two daughters Kelly Morris of Rector, AR., Kala Floyd of Rector, AR.; one grandson Hunter Gage McNeely; one uncle Leon Green and wife Patricia; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents William Ottis and Iola Gertrude (Green) Morris; and one brother Robert Lee Morris.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 7:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Owen Little and Lavern Reed officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 8, 2012 from 5:00 PM until the time of service.
Graveside funeral services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Texarkana, TX., Monday, December 10, 2012 at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be held in the Texarkana Funeral Home in Texarkana, TX., Sunday, December 9, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
