GRUVER - Esmeralda Nava Renteria, 61, died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010.

Graveside will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hansford Cemetery with the Rev. Brad Reeves officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.

Mrs. Renteria was born Dec. 20, 1948, in Alice to Conrado and Bertha Nava. She married Jesus Renteria on Nov. 20, 1970, in Spearman. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She brought joy with cooking and laughter into the lives of everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Conrado and Bertha Nava; a brother, Richard Nava; and a sister, Mary Lou Nava.

Survivors include her husband, Jesus Renteria of Gruver; three sons, J.J. Renteria and wife Margaret of Clovis, N.M., Paul Renteria of Gruver and Sammy Renteria and wife Jennifer of Fresno, Calif; a sister, Esther Vargas and husband Arthur of Spearman; 11 grandchildren, Michael, Jacob, Maggie, Kelsey and Brooke Renteria, Rhnae, Damian, Avery, and Kenny Robinson, all of Clovis, N.M., and Carter and Conrad Renteria, both of Fresno; three nieces and nephews, Vertha, Arthur Jr. and Albert Vargas, all of Spearman; and three lotteria amigas, Maria Pacheco, Nancy Padilla and Chepa Royval.

The family suggests memorials be to American Heart Association, 6605 W. Interstate 40, Amarillo, TX, 79106.
