Edna was born on September 12, 1922 to Ralph and Myrtle Fullbright on the Palo Duro Creek northeast of Spearman, Tx. She was married to Carl Scroggs on July 31, 1940 at the Fullbright farm. The majority of their married life was spent making a home in Waka, Tx. They were married for fifty years.

In her 97 years, Edna held many positions. Some of these include President of the PTA and Home Demonstration Club. Edna worked as a cashier at Thriftway Grocery Store in Spearman and was also Post Mistress of Waka Post Office.

She was a woman of prayer who interceded for her family on a regular basis. She loved to sing and worship the Lord. She read the Bible consistently and would remind you of what it says in her conversations. What she was most proud of was that her children and grandchildren served the Lord.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Carl C. Scroggs, in 1990; infant daughter, Arleta; daughter, Anna Margaret Kinser; three sisters, Edith Pipkin, Ethel Depew and Reba Banks; one brother, Orville Fullbright. Her second husband, Edward Owens, also preceded her in death.
She left behind three daughters, Donetta Greene and husband, Jimmy, of Spearman, Tx, Marcena Hutson and husband, John, of Coweta, Ok, Noveta Leming and husband, Curt, of Poteau OK; son-in-law Ollie Kinser of Liberal, Ks; one brother, Wilbur Fullbright and wife, Loraine, of Lychburg, VA. Besides this there are 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews as well as many friends and neighbors.

Her smile and beautiful twinkling blue eyes will be missed by all of us. Mother, Grandma, Aunt and Friend…we love you!

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial to Gideons Bible, PO Box 254, Perryton, Tx 79070 or to the charity of your choice. Source: boxwellbros.com
