Phillip Wayne Appling
FLOYDADA - Phillip Wayne Appling, 73, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 1998.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gene Hawkins, interim pastor, and Mike Holster, music minister, officiating. Burial will be in Floydada Cemetery by MooreRose-White Funeral Home.
Mr. Appling was born in Crosbyton. He attended Crosbyton schools and Draughon's Business College in Lubbock. He was a retired farmer and a member of First Baptist Church. He was a longtime resident of Floydada.
He married Bertha Wallace in 1945 at Mount Blanco.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Judy Sanders of
Bloomfield, N.M., Phyllis Farley of Rowlett and Beverly Conner of Canyon; a brother, Joe Appling of Crosby County; a sister, Catherine Miller of Tulia; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be to First Baptist Church, 401 S. Main, Floydada, Texas 79235; or the Floydada EMS, P.O. Box 373, Floydada,Texas 79235.
