Janelle Womble Steinkoenig, 87, of Amarillo died Monday, Nov. 15, 2010.
Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Hansford Cemetery in Spearman. Memorial services will be at 5 p.m. in Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors Minton Memorial Chapel in Borger with Jake Minton officiating.
Mrs. Steinkoenig was born Feb. 5, 1923, in Hansford County to Jesse and Lula Womble. She spent countless hours teaching primary schoolchildren in Spearman and Borger until her retirement after 38 years.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Steinkoenig of Boulder, Colo., and Mike Steinkoenig of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Janelle asked that donations be in the form of educating a child.
The family will be staying at 1520 S. Austin St. in Amarillo.
