BAILEY, WILLIAM RILEY
Lockney, Nov. 18 (Special)-William Riley Bailey, 79, of Lockney, died at 5 p.m. today in his home here. He had suffered a long illness as a result of a fall at his home here on June 21 when he suffered a broken hip.
Mr. Bailey, who was born June 17, 1879, in Guin, Ala., came to Winfield, Tex., in 1898. In 1916 he moved to Floyd County and has lived in this area ever since. He retired as a farmer in 1944.
Survivors are five brothers, S. M. of Levelland, Charlies of Fort Gibson, Okla., J. L. of Niland, Calif., and O. C. and Pearl Bailey, both of Lockney, and two sisters, Mrs. Velma Gary and Mrs. Virgie Dawkins, both of Phoenix, Ariz.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Carter Funeral Home in Lockney. Burial will be in Lockney Cemetery.
