Wilma A. Schuette Hollis, 84, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Canyon. Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon.

Wilma was born March 30, 1928, in Canyon to Frederick and Helen Gesiene Wiechmann Schuette. She has been a lifetime resident of this area. She graduated from Canyon High School. Wilma worked as department manager for American Quarter Horse Association for 18 years, as an office clerk for the Tri-State Fair for three years, as bookkeeper and secretary for Material Service Center for three years and in sales at Boots and Jeans for 15 years. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Canyon.

She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill and Oscar Schuette, and sister, Helen Mueller.

Survivors include a son, Shawn B. Hollis of Amarillo; a daughter, Angela K. Bennett and husband Evan of Amarillo; her granddaughters, Chelsea Ann Sutterfield and Charlotte E. Hollis, both of Amarillo; a special family member, Marilyn McPherren; a sister, Betty Stevens of Longmont, Colo.; two nieces, Cynthia Stetson of Labewood, Colo., and Marilyn Schuette Schrib of Canyon; a nephew, Mark Stevens of Corral De Tierra, Calif.; and many brothers and sisters she had with the Tucek family.
