ROLLA DON LOCKLIN

A wave of sadness swept over the Ellison Ridge community Friday morning as the news spread that Rolla Don, the thirteen months old baby of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Locklin, was dead.
He had only been sick a week when the death angel came, and life on earth was no more. Funeral services were held by Rev. John C. Moore, and a lady friend of the family, at five o'clock Friday evening at the Locklin cemetery where the remains were laid to rest until another Sunrise. To those that are left to mourn his departure are his father, mother, three sisters and five brothers, we would say weep not as those that have no hope for the Lord doeth all things well.
We are waiting for the sunrise,
Though the shades of night close in.
Rays of sunlight in the valley.
Cause our hearts to glow within.
Some may go through life's last sunset.
And in death find sweet repose,
But they'll rise first in the morning
Triumph o'er the King of Foes.
