Services for Servando Cavazos, Sr., 89, of Abernathy, TX, will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday, December 18, 2014, at the Cavazos Family Home in Abernathy. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, December 19th, in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Mr. Cavazos died Sunday, December 14, 2014, in Lubbock, TX.
He was born October 26, 1925 in Harlingen, TX to Augustine Banderas and Cesacia (Pena) Cavazos. He was a longtime Abernathy resident. He is survived by 3 children, Servando "Sam" Cavazos, Jr, of Abernathy, TX, Amelia Cavazos of Rio Hondo, TX and Irma Rios of North Carolina, 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
