Services for Isabell (Harral) Davis, 96, of Abernathy, TX, will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, September 7, 2013, in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jimmy Nunn officiating. Burial will follow in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Davis died Wednesday morning, September 4, 2013, in Lubbock, TX.

She was born May 22, 1917 in Abernathy, TX where she was raised. She was a member of the Abernathy First United Methodist Church, joining July 24, 1927. She married Harold Vernon Davis on August 21, 1937 in Clovis, NM, and he preceded her in death October 26, 2005. She was a member of the Senior Citizens and was a homemaker. She was the youngest of 7 children, and has been preceded in death by her 6 older brothers.

She is survived by her 2 sons, Harold G. Davis of Abernathy and Eddie C. Davis and wife Cynthia of Escondido, CA, one daughter, Dorothy Reeves of Abernathy, 9 grandchildren, 13, great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be sent to the Abernathy Senior Citizens, 717 Ave. C, Abernathy, TX 79311

Services for Harold V. Davis, 89, of Abernathy, TX, were held at 10:00 am Saturday in the Abernathy First United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Martin officiating. Burial followed in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX. Mr. Davis died Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at Covenant Hospital in Plainview, TX.

He was born May 18, 1916 in Duke, OK. He married Isabell Harral on August 21, 1937 in Clovis, NM. He was a lifelong resident of Abernathy and a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was instrumental in helping build Tuco Gin and City Gin and the addition to the Methodist Church building while serving on the building committee in 1957. He owned and operated Service Grain Company for 20 years.

Survivors include his wife, Isabell Davis of Abernathy, TX, 2 sons, Harold G. Davis of Lubbock, TX and Eddie C.Davis of Dallas, TX a daughter, Dorothy Reeves of Abernathy, TX, 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is preceded by 2 brothers, Ralph and James Davis and 2 sisters, Pauline Durrett and Hazel Linton. The family suggest memorial contributions be sent to Abernathy Senior Citizens or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
