LOONEY
Graveside services for William W. Looney Jr., 38 of Harker Heights were held at 10 a. m. Monday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cameron with the Rev. Robert Vickery Jr. officiating.
Mr. Looney died Friday in an automobile accident.
He was born in Branchville, near Cameron, and received his bachelor's and law degrees from Baylor University. He had lived in Killeen since 1975. Mr. Looney had been chief prosecutor of Killeen since 1975. He was a member of the Bell-Coryell-Lampassas Bar Association and a member of the Texas State Bar Association. Mr. Looney was in private practice in Killeen at the time of his death.
He had been involved in a law partnership with former Bell County Court-at-Law Judge Bill Gibson of Killeen. Mr. Looney was also a former law partner of Stephen E. Blythe of Temple.
Survivors are his widow, Susan Looney of Killeen; one son, William W. Looney III of Killeen; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Looney of Branchville; and one sister, Kay Garrison of Midland.
