*OBITUARY
EASTERWOOD - Hearne, Texas, June 14 - Yesterday evening the sad news announcing the death of Mr. W. C. Easterwood of Calvert was received here. Mr. Easterwood has been a resident of this county for a number of years and numbers his friends by the hundreds, who are exceedingly sorrowful at his untimely demise. He will be buried at Port Sullivan this afternoon.
EASTERWOOD - Calvert, Texas, June 13. - Colonel W. C. Easterwood, a prominent and highly esteemed citizen of Calvert, died suddenly at his home in this city today at 12 o'clock after an illness of several weeks. Colonel Easterwood was about 72 years old at the time of his death and was a true type of the Southern gentleman of the old regime. He leaves a wife and two sone and four daughters to mourn his loss.
