*Obituary for Gregoria
Rosary for Gregoria AMA Lopez 95 of Abernathy will be today at 7 p.m. at St. Patricks Catholic Church located at 1603 Cherry Ave in Lubbock. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 1 p.m. in St. Patricks with Father Jim Oconnor officiating. Burial will be in Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home and Chapel. Our loving mother went to be with the lord on Tuesday December 25, 2012.

She was born on May 9, 1917 in San Benito, Texas to the late Secondino and Nieves Cortez. She married Luis Lopez on September 30, 1930 in Rosebud, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1992. Gregoria loved gardening, she was a catholic.

She was preceded in death by a son, Juan Lopez and two daughters, Reyes Trevino and Maximina Avalos. Survivors include ten sons, Joe Lopez, Luis Lopez, Mario Lopez, Bobby Lopez, Danny Lopez, and Andy Lopez all of Abernathy, Gilbert Lopez of Phoenix, Ariz., Richard Lopez of Albuquerque, N.M., Albert Lopez and Smiley Lopez of both of Lubbock; five daughters, Consuelo Torres, Juanita Rios and Mary Guajardo all of Lubbock, Juliana Hernandez of Abilene and Patsy Perez of Abernathy; 83 grandchildren; 146 great-grandchildren; 60 great-great grandchildren; and one great-great-great grandchild.
